Finaly got onto building the new track out in the backyard. Heres some footage of my first test run last weekend.

Blog revival

Well its been a long long time! I've played around with creating my own web site but its all too much trouble so im going to start posting on here again. Well i did get my KTM 450SX after a long wait and i've been having a ball on it. The mods turned out really nice so heres a couple of pics to get this blog rolling again :)

The bar work turned out great and has a factory fitted look to it :)

Ben talked me into making them from alloy, it was worth the effort.

The gear shifter mounted up real nice and the KTM box shifts really well with it, you can really tell theres some quality inside that KTM box from the way it shifts.

The new seat is super comfy and a massive improvement on the YZ effort

The CLAKE.... Clutch and rear brake with full control from one lever :) Cant say enough good things about this device

Oh and notice the little button on the far left... The electric start is pure heaven!

Well its just gone summer here so there should be plenty of riding to come :)

The deposit

Havent posted for ages so i thought id better keep this thing going. Been out riding a bit on the YZ... Raptor is still broken but i cant even be bothered with it, having so much fun on the YZ. Unfortunately i haven't been getting any pictures or video footage.

Well i finally did it, i put a deposit on a 2009 KTM450SX :) I cant wait to get it, the 09 model looks very trick. The electric start is going to be so sweet not to mention the crazy power these things have... I really hope i can hang on to this big beast!

I also got a CLAKE http://www.clake.com.au pretty nifty device that puts the rear brake and clutch on the one hand lever, this is going to be so sweet compared to my two levers on one hand im running at the moment. Well hopefully anyway, well see how it goes.

Ill leave you with a pic of the new 450, it really is a sexy machine. Im hoping to take delivery early October, then it will prob take at least a month till all the mods are done so i can ride it properly.

Still no riding :(

Geez two cracked ribs and now both bikes are broken, i've had  like 3 rides in the last 3 months which really sux. The raptor is still waiting to be put back together with its new 5th and pinion gears and selector fork now arrived from Japan . The YZ has a broken fork dampener rod.... seems i've been riding with only one working fork for some time. That would explain the constant bottoming of the front end and my zero confidence pushing the front end into corners, thought it was cause i cant stand up but one fork with no dampening at all would have played a big part. I cat wait to go riding again, should be able to jump a bit bigger and hopefully have a bit more confidence in the front end not washing out on me.

I've been looking very closely at the KTM 450SX of late, with its electric start i think it would be the prefect bike for me. Hopefully this will be my next project but i still have to save up some more $$$$ before that can start.

My Leatt Brace just arrived the other day and i've fitted it up, seems to be quite comfortable and i think after a couple of rides i wont even know its there, all i need now is a working bike to test it with!!!! Anyways thats about it, YZ will be at least 3 weeks from even getting parts, Raptor should be running in 2 weeks.

Cracked rib again damnit!

Went to Lano for Magillas 18th a few weeks ago (more like ages ago), had an ok ride till i landed all crossed up off a tabletop and copped a handlebar to the rib which re cracked the same rib that just healed up (or not quite healed up)

Was a good weekend still, party was a blast, hangover the next day wasn't!

This is a pic of Beno getting into a nice hit just behind the main dune, he actually managed to get most of the ramp boys over to get some dirt hitts going which was good to see.


This is a frame capture of some video footage Amanda got of me, same jump i stacked it on. Unfortunatly she missed the stack... Still remember the first thing i thought after "Fuck that hurt" was "Hope she got that on camera!"


Got the Raptor in pieces with a bent selector fork, parts will be 3 weeks. Cant wait to get the big beast back on the dunes feels like its been out of action for so long. Anyways thats about it, hoping to get out to Lano next weekend.

Compound

Went to a little compound a couple of weeks ago, didnt take the bike but i got some good footage of Kale, John, Doogs and the boys rippin up the ramp. Got some crash footage of this dude on a YFZ450, first time ever on a ramp he cleared it but on his second attempt he come short and had a big case out, no injuries which was good and only minor plastics damage.

This will probably be my last post for the year so have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !

Went for a sweet ride on Saturday with Beno on the YZ, took us a while to get back into the swing of Lanos after a few months of only gravel riding. By the end of the day we were getting into it, found this awesome natural tabletop on our last ride. Took me a few goes but i finally got the balls to clear it.

Also hit up the front dune flat stick in top gear.... was an awesome hit with a nice smooth landing. This is the first time ive ever hit a jump top gear screemin, was an awesome feeling sailing off the lip flat sitck.

Anyways heres a couple of pics of me on the table top.

2 Years of Roostablog

Well another year gone bye and two years of Roooostablog. Looking back its been a great year, finally getting back on an MX bike has been awesome and the bike is now fully modified with push button gears, charging system to run the gears, rear brakes n all so im pretty stoked. I went out for my first ride at Noble Falls MX club last Saturday, had a great time, think we put in about 25 laps all up on the day. I've never been so exhausted and its now Tuesday and my muscles are still sore! Was great fun though and i actually wasn't the slowest rider out there :) Big thanks to my wife Amanda and my mate Ben who have helped me so much with getting back on 2 wheels over the past year and picked me up of the ground countless times.

Anyways, looking forward to the summer season, hoping to do lots of riding, camping and partying!

Found this footage on my cam the other night so i thought id throw it together. Just got footage of me getting on the bike and the table top before and after it grew a bit.

I joined up with Noble falls MX club the other week so cant wait to get out there and ride a real MX track again.

Lano Ride September 07

Got the vid done from the Lano ride the other week. Had a blast, some strange problem with the YZ prevented me from riding Saturday but Sunday she fired up first kick no problems... Very strange. Had a great time, Magilla's bro brought the babcat down to build a nice little ramp setup. I missed lots of good footage Sunday arvo cause i was out riding on the YZ.

Oh as for the title? Dont ask! you really dont want to know what a space invader is.... just some sick shit Jono was on about Saturday night after a few beers, i though it would make a good title :)
